Sims 2 Vampires vs. Werewolves
Jul. 19th, 2020 12:10 pmVampire and Werewolf Set
This set was fun to make! I learned more about material definitions and how to mod them.
Vampire overlay on S4, S3, S2, and S1 skins
First up is a Vampire default replacement. The textures come from Lilith's Honey Honey skins, and are a mix of my Timebomb and HMX colors. The replacement is a subtle overlay, so original skin colors should still come through. Eye color is Remi's vampire recolor of Leh's eyes. Teeth are standard Maxis. The file has been streamlined to remove extraneous images.
Non correlated werewolf default
Correlated werewolf defaults for black, brown, grey, red, and blonde hair
Next are the werewolf defaults! This is where the majority of the time I spent on this set went. For the "classic" version, I modified Lilith's HoneyHoney werewolf textures so that the belly was covered up by fur. I then set it to be very slightly transparent, with more transparency for the lips and a bit around the eyes. I added an eye default (Spiteful Full Cat eyes, see below, based on Remi's edits of Leh's eyes) and pointy teeth based on Maxis teeth. Since werewolf skins normally don't work on custom skins, I added a fix from PiouPiou at MATY. I also included Poifectly poiple's hair removal mod for male werewolves. Most importantly, I was able to reduce the amount of textures in the file to just four using material definitions I found deep in the 3D/Sims02 files. This significantly reduces the file size!
For the correlated skins, I recolored the original in Dynamite, Brisance, Molotov, Incendiary, and Mailbomb for black, brown, red, blonde, and grey respectively. Keep in mind that sims with genetically custom hair will not get a werewolf overlay with this version. Also note that if you download the mod, and then go into a house with werewolves at night, it may cause the incorrect skin overlay to be selected. The standard version of the correlated skins causes the dreaded colored scalp problem in BodyShop, so there is a version without hair (though you will have to watch out for bald werewolves!). The correlated skins also includes Poifectly poiple's hair fix, and should automatically work for custom skins. The files have also been streamlined and the file size is reduced. Based on Rio-Sims original mod!

I then made 47 eyes with a cat pupil on my previous full alien eye textures. The original eyes and colors are from Remi's edits of Leh's eyes, and the cat pupil is from sugarandcaffine on MTS.
Last is some full face makeup related to the werewolves. You get six noses based on Lilith's textures, and a sharp teeth overlay. The teeth have a custom swatch in CAS! They are available for all ages and genders.
