Sims 2 Catalogue of Human Types Notes

I've been working on this project on and off for the past few years, so I thought it might be a good idea to finally explain my ideas.
Basically, an artist named Joumana Medlej (who used to be on DeviantArt) put together a drawing tutorial book that included a bunch of guides for drawing human features, including bodytypes, hair, faces, etc. I've applied her guides to my genetic sets in Sims 2 to help myself from getting overwhelmed.
Here's my thought process, using my sims genetics matched up with guides from the book. The original art again belongs to Joumana Medlej.

I chose eyes from Remi's eye set here to match the colors in the guide. Obviously it doesn't include every single type of eye out there! I just wanted to simplify my genetics for my Maxis-Matchy cartoony style game. I also chose to go with both Green 4 and October for my blue-green eyes so that I could have both a light green and a teal color.

Hair colors, using Pooklet natural colors and Remi's textures, with the exception of Smokebomb, which belongs to hat-plays-sims, and Diatomite, which belongs to me. The colors don't match up quite as much as I would like, but I was limited by what IaKoa had in their GIMP curves and by my need to be Maxis Matchy.
Update 6/6/25: Flashpowder has been replaced with Amon! I think it looks a bit more like a blue-black color.

Straight hair uses textures from Remi's blend with Neena textures here, wavy hair uses textures from Remi's edits of Nympy's curls here (it's also been edited a bit by me in PSP8 to make it a bit wavier), curly hair uses textures I pulled from a Sims Artist Union hair and softened quite a lot, and frizzy hair uses a texture from Nouk's Afro Band hair that was also softened a bit.

Brows - they either come from my Maxis eyebrow set or Zoej's eyebrows collection. Not super-matchy, but it works enough for me.

This chart helped me select the bodyshapes I wanted to use for my BSOK project!
Maxis' Normal physique corresponds to the Ectomorph here, while Maxis Fat goes to Ectomorphic Endomorph and Maxis Fit goes to Mesomorphic Ectomorph. I could also use Aquilegia's Androgyny bodyshape for Ectomorph if I wanted to (and sometimes I do).
Consort's Heavy Male and Franny Sim's Momma Lisa correspond to Endomorph, while Melodie09's Fat Family corresponds to Endomorphic Mesomorph.
SynapticSim's Bodybuilder V2 and Marvine's Bodybuilder Girl correspond to Mesomorph, while SynapticSim's Lean Bodybuilder V2 and Marvine's Athletic Girl correspond to Ectomorphic Mesomorph.
Misc. features:
Birthmarks, freckles, body hair, etc have also been assembled by me here if you want even MOAR features.

Skin tones! These skins use Lilith's Honey Honey skin textures with my skin tints. Not too much to say about this set, I'm very happy with how the colors matched up.

A note about faces:
Isbrealiomcaife has already put together a set of non-default faces using the book as a reference here.
