Hair 'N Houses 'N Horses

Welcome back to another episode of my nonsense! I've got lots of random things today... I swear I'll do more Sailor Moon things soon.

But first: A super Maxis-Matchy default hair dump!

I've released a few of these previously, but most of it is new. Pretty much all the standard, non-hat hairs and facial hair have been retextured using Remi's and Maxboy's textures, and colors in my usual hair set (my Diatomite, and Pooklet's Molotov, Brisance, Dynamite, and Mailbomb). I also included retextures and colors of mirror hairs. Ufbun and Ufdeco have mesh edits that remove the chopsticks and flowers. Ufpixie and Ufshortheadband have alpha edits from Shinasims and Treeag respectively. Pfmob has Fanseelamb's texture fix included. Rather than upload them in packs, I've decided to just drop everything in one SimsFileShare folder, so you can pick and choose what you want.

Speaking of mirror hairs...

I've been playing around with making hair color families, and realized I could apply it to the mirror hairs! This means that if you have a Sim with mirror hair, they should pass on their hair genetics! There's two files, one for base game mirror hairs, and another for Nightlife/University hairs.

More genetics:

New recolors of my blended Lilith Werewolf and Honey Honey bigfoot skins! Just four colors for now.

More recolors of my Draconius and Lilith skinblend, plus more lizard accessories! There's now matching head, face, arm, finger, back, and leg fins, as well as dragon tails for all lizard skins.

Also, recolors of CrabOfDoom's separated unicorn ears, tail, and deer tail to match my usual fur colors. Plus three new colors of CrabOfDoom's separated unicorn horn (in Timebomb, Brisance, and Flashpowder).

Finally - more houses!

From the Mildly Medieval Architecture Company:

Cozy Castle (6B, 7BR)
§373,100 for furnished lot, §221,415 for unfurnished lot

We regret to inform you that this home is technically not CC-free, as it uses the Maxis Castle Build and Buy Set (and paigeturnersims' matching walls). Still, the CC may be worth it (and either way, it's included). This castle is a fully-functioning micro-community with a horse stable, decorative forge, servants' quarters, and a small chapel! Sims can enjoy the large master bedroom and attached study, wander the castle walls looking for enemies, or fish in the subterranean pond. Everything you need to live the life of a mildly wealthy medieval lord can be found here!

Tranquil Temple (3B, 5BR)
§234,804 for furnished lot, §108,359 for unfurnished lot

This temple sits on a small hill, and provides housing for an even smaller army. There's a communal bedroom, bathrooms, and a training room for your soldiers in the lower levels, and two nicer rooms upstairs for the generals. Off to the side of the main meeting hall, there is also a large kitchen for hungry fighters. You also get bonuses of watch towers, a horse stable, and a small outdoor training pit. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before returning to whatever violent business you need to attend to.

Private Priory (2B, 5BR)
§230,930 for furnished lot, §104,312 for unfurnished lot

This priory stands in mostly undisturbed wilderness, far away from the worldly life of the cities. The chapel will bring you closer to which ever deity or deities you prefer to worship, and the garden and apple trees will help you be more modest through manual labor. A horse stable, study/library, and full kitchen will help you live as simply as you can. Also, there's a secret basement with a training room, but you're not supposed to know about that (there might be ghosts).

From We Live in a Society Construction:

Traditional Japanese Homes (Minimally furnished, 1B,1BR each)
§28,931 for House A and §34,716 for House B

These lovely small homes feature water gardens and large trees for shade. The covered patios will give you lots of space to contemplate either nature and your place in it, or how much you'd rather be playing video games. There is one bedroom and a separated bathroom per house, as well a kitchen/dining room, and a tea room. Minimal furnishings are included, to make things a bit easier.

And from a new building company, the Places I've Lived Builders:

Lightning Apartments (1B, 1BR per unit; 12 Units)
§2,094-§2,150 per unit (more expensive than real life, but probably not for long)

There's not much to say about these apartments, other than I currently live in them and I haven't died yet (despite the efforts of the weather). Yes, there's a fireplace and a small covered patio, but did I really need those things, or are they just excuses to charge me more money? The large kitchen is and breakfast bar is pretty nice though, but I do wish they'd take out that ugly carpet in the rooms. For added realism, try to have a different appliance break each week. Remember these are luxury apartments!

Pecan Gulch (3B, 2BR)
§75,604 for lot

This small cabin serves as a home to park rangers (and other park employees). The rooms are basic, but there's more than enough space for all your things. The large bathroom, the living room, and the kitchen are all shared spaces. It can be hard maneuvering with three people in this space, but I swear it worked in real life. The backyard and patio are great spaces to relax and watch the wildlife, and there's also a garage with storage space. To have your experience match mine, try setting the microwave on fire.

Houses and Lots

Housing by Mildly Medieval Architecture Company
Mildly Medieval Architecture Company is proud to bring you the finest reproductions of houses that we think probably belong in the Medieval period, updated enough for the modern sim to live comfortably. Guaranteed mostly custom content-free AND completely ghost-free!

Simple Shacks (4 Studios, 4BR)

§51,952 for furnished lot, §35,497 for unfurnished lot, §751 to §821 for each building as an apartment

For Sims who prefer the simple life, there is no better place to live than a shack! Minimalist in design, these four studio shacks have all the essentials: small bathroom, tiny kitchen, and a fireplace. What else do you need?
Simple Shacks

No-Fuss Flophouses (1B, 1 Studio, 2BR)
§42,847 for furnished lot, §22,488 for unfurnished lot, §823 to §863 for each building as an apartment

These small houses are perfectly suited for a marshy area. Despite their low footprint, they both contain a kitchen/dining area, a bedroom, a fireplace, a small bathroom, and some extra space for relaxing or hobbies! As a bonus, there is a small pond outside for extra communing with nature (i.e. mosquitos).
No-Fuss Flophouses

Aquatic Apartments (2 Studios, 2BR)
§47,471 for furnished lot, §29,790 for unfurnished lot, §885 to §1,076 for each floor as an apartment

This cute set of apartments sits over a small pool off a larger river. Each floor is a separate unit, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom area. Enjoy the lovely wooden construction and the view of the beautiful river outside. Visit the statue of the Lucky Old Lady just behind the houses for good fortune!
Aquatic Apartments

Snowy Suite (1B, 1BR)
§50,392 for furnished lot, §26,102 for unfurnished lot

This cozy cabin was built to keep sims warm in cold regions. The bedroom and bathroom are below ground in the basement, while the kitchen and living room are upstairs. Add in a fireplace and some dragon figurines (featuring the fan-favorite character, Partysnacks the Pleasant Dragon) and you've got a comfy place to watch the snow fall!
Snowy Suite

Rivers' Rest (1B, 1BR)
§65,269 for furnished lot, §31,444 for unfurnished lot

Built next to a meandering river, this classically-designed cottage has plenty of elements perfect for a romantic
Sim. It is located conveniently by quaint shops, beautiful overlooks of a natural forest, and the friendly local assassins' guild. The walls are made of natural stone from the river and the backyard has a weeping willow and pond. The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom are all small, but the space for Sims' imaginations is large!
Rivers' Rest

Heralding Hall (3B, 2BR)
§109,658 for furnished lot, §48,124 for unfurnished lot

This hall of heralds has been described as "imposing", but is surprisingly cozy and full of natural light inside. The bottom floor contains the kitchen, dining, and living rooms, while the upstairs area has three bedrooms (one of which is the master suite) and two bathrooms. This house is suited for the more wealthy Sim who doesn't need much space for themself.
Heralding Hall

Seaside Chalet (1B, 2BR)
§119,107 for furnished lot, §42,827 for unfurnished lot

This chalet by the ocean is 100% not haunted. Not a bit! You can't describe it as "eerie", "mysterious", "cursed by an evil lich", or "full of vengeful ghosts", because it isn't any of those things. The ground floor (100% free of ghosts) contains a dining room and a sitting/living room, while the second floor is the (also non-haunted) bedroom with an attached bathroom. Check out the stairs to the study nook for more ghost-free views! The basement is where the kitchen is located, for better storage of food items. Theoretically, if there was a secret hidden room in the house it would be down there too, but there isn't, because this house is as un-supernatural as it gets. Really!
Seaside Chalet

Marble Manor (2B, 2BR)
§149,029 for furnished lot, §64,338 for unfurnished lot

Are you a Sim that likes show off their status? Then try out this horizontally-compact manor made of the finest marble! The ground floor contains your stately dining room and a sitting area, while the second floor is for reading and studying and has a small balcony. The large bedroom with an attached bathroom on the top floor will suit anyone looking to impress. The kitchen is located in the basement, which also contains quarters suitable for the hired help (you DO have hired help, don't you?).

Tasteful Tower (1B, 1.5BR)
§83,793 for furnished lot, §82,548 for unfurnished lot

So, you apparently had some distant relative who was a wizard and then died and left you a whole tower. Property from random relatives you don't know can be a problem (i.e. ghosts), but fortunately that doesn't seem to be the case here. The tower sits on the highest point of an alpine mountain, where you can see danger coming for miles. The lights in the tower are mostly powered by beneficial magic, and there's lots of spaces to practice your craft. There's even some garden space for plants and a lookout post. The basement contains a kitchen and storage space, plus a pond where you can catch fish. You're just glad the guy who used to live here isn't haunting it still.

Housing by We Live in a Society Construction
We Live in a Society Construction specializes in social engineering using architecture. Choose from Authority, Creativity, Knowledge, Productivity, Prosperity, and Spirituality to value, and we'll create a place to match it. Because you live in the society, we're just building it.

Monasteries (Outer building shell only, unfurnished)§113,006 for Monastery A, §97,437 for Monastery B, and §107,699 for Monastery C

These three centers of worship will connect your Sims with their spiritual side. They are built with colorful tiles and plaster and have open floor plans to suit any need! Available in three different configurations and color schemes, each one has five levels to decorate and explore. Monastery A costs §113,006, Monastery B costs §97,437, and Monastery C costs §107,699.

Places I've Lived Builders

Now you too can send your Sims to live where I've lived, and follow in the footsteps of my shenanigans! Or if you'd rather, you can choose to make better choices and not do things like setting appliances on fire and flooding the hall closet. Either way, these houses are mostly accurate representations of actual living spaces in the world.
